November was a busy month!
The Panama canal Dementia friendly Cruise was a huge success! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the flagship M.S. Rotterdam! I particularly enjoyed presenting and sharing the 5 Love Languages! This comment from Elite Cruises and Vacations’ Kathy Shoaf, RN BSN made our day! “Toni, you and Dennis created a significant positive influence on all of our cruise participants. I so thank you for your participation and your amazing presence on this cruise and your creative presents for Halloween.”
I had a table at the Myasthenia Gravis Health Fair in St Petersburg, Florida selling books and speaking with patients with MG and their caregivers. I was honored to meet in person and talk with Neurologist Alan Weiss, M.D, who regularly visits the virtual MG Support Groups to answer questions and updates us on new drugs being released.
Toni’s Tip
A celebration doesn’t require a plan or a party. We can celebrate the simple happy happenings and make memories that we will cherish for years. We can create happy moments to share with friends, family, and new caregiving journey travel companions.
What brings you both joy and how can you share more of those experiences? Minimize regret and maximize memories by being present and finding joy every day. Celebrate your loved one! Celebrate your relationship! Laugh and share the joy! Collect souvenirs. Take photos and videos.
